Residential Pre-Shoot

Introduction

A pre-shoot is a vital step in the home selling process. It’s an opportunity for us to get all of our ducks in a row and ensure that we have all the information about your home before it goes on the market.

During our meeting, I will walk through your home with you and discuss what needs to be done to make it look its best for the camera and for prospective buyers. We will also review any items of concern that need immediate attention so that we can get these issues taken care of before we begin photographing your home!

What is a residential pre-shoot?

A pre-shoot is a walk through of the home with a photographer. The photographer takes photos of all the rooms, outside, and any other items that are part of the sale. These photos are used to market your home on social media and in our print advertising materials.

Why should you do a residential pre-shoot?

  • It helps you get the home ready to show.
  • It allows you to get a better idea of what needs to be done to the home before it is shown.
  • It allows you to get an idea of how much time and money it will take to complete the work.

How to prepare for a Residential Pre-shoot?

  • Clean and declutter.
  • Remove all personal items from the home.
  • Make sure the home is well lit and tidy, but not too cluttered. If there are piles of mail on a table or countertops that are full of clutter, these should be cleared out before you take photos of them.
  • Make sure the home smells nice! No one wants to see messy microwaves, so make sure it’s spotless before your photo shoot. If you don’t have time to deep clean every nook and cranny, just wipe down some surfaces with disinfecting wipes (like Clorox Disinfecting Wipes) before having your session so that everything looks fresh when we arrive at your house for our shoot!
You could also buy some Febreze Fabric Refresher Spray if you need extra help with odors in particular areas like carpets or couches where pets spend most their time sleeping during the day/night hours when no one else is around at home.”

How do I schedule a pre-shoot?

If you are interested in scheduling a pre-shoot, please contact our office. We will be happy to schedule an appointment for you. If you don’t have a specific date in mind, ask to set up a “general” appointment for the next available date. If there is a specific date that works best for what we can do, let us know and we will try our best to accommodate your request.

If you see something in the home that needs to be addressed, try to address the issue immediately so we can get the home photographed and on the market asap.

If there is an issue with the home you need to address as soon as possible. If not, we will have to come back at a later time which means additional hours and money. It may also mean that the house will sit longer than necessary and it may sell for less or not at all if we can’t get back there when you need us too!

If we find something during the inspection (i.e., pest infestation or electrical issue) you should call someone immediately to fix it so that it doesn’t interfere with our ability to get your home photographed and on the market ASAP!

Conclusion

Now that you have a better understanding of what a pre-shoot is and why you should do one, it’s time to have Triumph Property Management book your own! Once you have scheduled your inspection, We will send over all the details about what will happen on the day of our shoot. We can also discuss any other questions or concerns as well.
